Fayetteville, NC will be the site of the North Caroina Veteran's Park. The state has awarded the funds needed to construct the park in downtown Fayetteville. Join City Manager Dale Iman as he shares his excitement about Fayetteville's newest park and this wonderful opprtunity to honor all the men and women in uniform from North Carolina who have helped to defend our country and maintain peace around the world.
This is Crystal (Cepedaman's wife). I agree with jdonhorton below. My Uncle (age 97) will be present for the ceremony, and they will be making a cast mold of his hand to be on display there. He was in the Merchant Marines, and later in the Army. Family members from North Carolina and Florida will be coming for this event in his honor.

I have jusr watched the video. In fact I watched it twice to be sure I was seeing everything. It was beautifully put together and gave credit to five of the branches of services in a great display. Missing from all scenes and offerings, though, was the fourth arm of Defense. Can anyone tell be how all the materials and troops got overseas in WW II and all other wars without using the US Merchant Marine Seamen? Where is their flag and seal? A sad story that they have been left out again.
