Virgin America A319 (N526VA "jane") takes off from San Francisco International Airport for a flight to Boston on March 12, 2010. I had a great stay in the SF Bay Area and hope to make it back soon!

  • @AnimationGenius It would be same as normal just backward, on average day they use 28's to land all aircraft, 28's for heavy aircraft deaprtures, and the 01's not 10 but 1's for departure, usually smaller aircraft, jets, props.

On a day like this where they used runway 10, they used the 10's to land all aircraft, coming in over the ocean, and 10, and 19 for departure, so the opposite of 1's is 19, they departed south.

  • @dylanhelmer It makes me wonder... if they leave on the 10s side, then what runways do they use to come in? 19? 01? I thought 28 were the only ones they used for arrivals, where 01 and 19 are for takeoffs...

  • Great!! I am flying on an A319 soon! Do you remember what seat you were in? Thanks so much!

  • interesting departure off the 10's. cool vid.
