When Icarus gazed into the heavens and set forth his plan to reach them in flight, the wise words of his father, "Icarus, my son, I charge you to keep at a moderate height," would have been unnecessary if he'd had a MiG -- 25... and our wings won't melt!!

Built around massive Tumansky turbojets, the MiG -- 25 Foxbat, with its nearly 46-foot wingspan, is capable of catapulting off the runway and climbing 65,000 feet into the air in less than nine minutes! Now, picture yourself in the cockpit of this high-speed interceptor on your way to the "Top of the World!"

We flew from the year 2000 up to 2006 on the Zuchowsky Airbase, nearby Moscow. Customers love it. This video is a editd video what we used as advertisement in this time. The original tapes are in our safe, and it shows partly my own ride to an altitude of 92.500ft.

@realomon Thats to high. The speed at this altitude is between mach 1,8 and 2,2, depends on the weather season.

@Master0fB00m It is called "edge of space", because the flights were the only possiblity to come "closer" to space. Space is beginning much more higher in 100km or 330K ft (Karman line)

Actually no, no it wasnt. And Valkire was created as a test plane for different types of propulsion systems. Hence the so many turbines

@akulax2 Actually it was developed to intercept the XB-70 Valkrie strategic bomber the US was testing. The XB-70 was cancelled, but the Mig25 seemed usefull to the Soviets to produce anyway.
