Im a person on welfare who is buying the virus so haha. Going to have it next week

@imsothemanXD Well, I can buy a ti brand new cash right now but would I? No.What I meant is how can people -some arent pro musicians- spend $3000 on it? $3000 isn't a huge amount of money but I mean I wouldnt spend that much on a keyboard unless I have too much extra cash or I'm a pro musician.That's what I meant.I wouldnt buy anything on payment even if it's $5/month.Never have and never will.I'd just wait until I find a used one for 1/2 price.

@niteowlsam or you have it on a payment plan... thnx....

@coylesolid Ha! Like me ;)

@coylesolid Buying used makes it a lot more reasonable but some people r buying brand new Ti for $3000 plus tax and some seem to be kids,well,maybe rich kids who can afford expensive toys but they dont look like pro musicians.Obviously a musician needs good equipment like the Virus.I'm not saying 3000 is terribly expensive but I dont think its something I need to buy.I'll probably buy a used one for 1/2 price.Yea,screw software.Its not worth the headache.Nothing like hardware.
very very cool song! i love such oldschool tunes. go on!

Korg Oasys Can't achieve the kind of sounds of the Virus TI doesnt' it?
tonato17 1 year ago
@tonato17 I think they are quite different, or I wouldn't have wasted money on the TI. However, the OASYS' MOD-7 engine could probaby sound close by routing one MOD-7 into another MOD-7 and using FM distortion (overloading, just a bit into an oscillator, which would allow filtering before and after the distortion - which Virus does a lot - Filter Saturation and distortion models). Any synth, sample, input can be routed into MOD-7 and the MS-20 engines in Combi mode. Worth experimenting....

i really dont understand hardware sequencers in this day and age :) but whatever floats your boat :) nice song btw

They're like software sequencers, but you don't have to take your focus off of the keyboard, to make a song. :>) I play the parts, so I don't spend much time editing notes.
I have Sonar 7 and 64 channels available through my MIDI Sport, but it takes me so much longer to deal with.
