I love how people say Angel was better with Buffy than Cordelia, but then you have so many fans that prefer Buffy with Spike. I say you can't compare the two. David and Charisma had terrific chemistry and you could tell they enjoyed working together. Cordy went from a two-dimensional character on Buffy to a fully realized woman on Angel. Charisma was also a lot more like movie Buffy than SMG was. It made for a different dynamic. Joss had very little to do with Angel, so Angel/Cordy are unique.

Something I've realized is that a lot of Bangel fans hate Cangel... But, most Cangel fans don't hate Bangel. You wanna know why? Because we understand and appreciate Bangel for what it was. First love. And we know that Bangel poses no threat to Cangel. Some Bangelers aren't quite as secure with their ship as that though.

@JaneBoleyn While I agree that people who come after first loves are in no way second best, i never believed Cordelia ever truly captured Angels heart. It just never came accross on screen to me that way. People do break up and move on, Buffy did. Although she certainly still loved Angel, she just understood they couldn't be together and tried to move on with her life. But Angel and Cordelia were never in a relationship, and now she's passed away he's mourned her and moved on.

@Niekasniekas did u not see that episode? Angel DID lose his soul..he was put in a "dream" where everything was HAPPY and in that "dream" he had made love to Cordelia and lost his soul, so it wasn't really REAL, some ninja guy used magic to make him "believe" that all of these happy things are happening in order for him to become Angelus. So the "love" scene technically wasn't real. WATCH THAT EPISODE!

@JaneBoleyn honestly I don't see any much hating going on here, just a bunch of opinions which is awesome. Buffy and Angel fans are AWESOME ppl. on a diff note, I keep telling ppl REMEMBER when Angel became human right? and the only reason why Bangel couldn't be together? Angel chose to be immortal again for BUFFY, for what they were.

Angel have always and WILL love Buffy..u guys forgot the episode when he became HUMAN? if it wasn't for Buffy being a slayer & Angel being..well, a heroic vampire they would've been TOGETHER! so even with Angel falling for Cordy, he'll always have a part of buffy in his heart. & "technically" he just can't be with anybody else.

@tuworkzz I think you forgot when Angel became HUMAN right? Buffy and angel were GOING to be together but because of the TITLE that they have they couldn't be together. When you REALLY think about it Angel technically just CAN'T be with anyone!

@cammieagle87 he didnt change because he was thinking about buffy he had a momment of true happiness with some he loved he said buffy because he was thinking of how he lost his soul in the first place...sleeping with some he loves!?!?!
