Hey are there any extensive tutorials on how to get together the materials to start sculpting?

@johns6160 if you want to get the bubble out of a mold i got an idea for a smal mold... you will need a vacuum and a big mayonaise jar or a big round jar that you can screew the top and are round because it got to resist the presure ... and tick wall if possible or you will need to re-enforce the wall of the jar , now you need to hook the vacuum hose to the lid of the jar , et voila ! you got a vacuum chamber for a small mold ...

I see. Thanks!! I will try that on my 2nd attempt tomorrow!
Now that you mention it, I remember hearing that banging the suface area where the mold is positioned will also help. I also found a video that looks like a great idea for removing bubbles, its called "How to make a simple Silicone Mold Part 2".
One more question if you dont mind, bro - What brand of clay do you use?
Thanks again.

thanks alot man
i used the the same stuff as u except i used oomoo 25 instead of 30. i did get air bubbles on mine but mainly in the areas where there were holes like the mouth and some in the cheek wound but they were so small i could just cut them out without much of a problem. the only thing i did that might have helped the air bubbles was me shaking the rubber after i was done poring it on the piece. i noticed bubbles coming up so i figured it would move them off the sculpture
hey dude,, how durable are those heads when dry and painted,, thinking about making a shifter knob like that

@MrMetalman13
if you are talking about the clay then no it would not last but if you were to cast it in resin it would be durable enough
thanks

Hey, I've made a few head sculpts and I desperately need to know how to create the ball joint socket so that it will accept a ball joint neck. I'd really appreciate your help.

@oxnrach
hi oxnrach all i used to make the joint socket is a dremel i drill it to the point where the ball fits in good but unfortunately i cant get an exact fit. but the head stays perfect in any pose. i would just get a drill bit that is around the same size as the ball and u should be good
i hope i helped you
thanks for the question
