Learn how to take advantage of the Kong NN-Nano Sampler Hit TYpes to play an alternate group of samples or several samples across multiple Kong pads. Fun stuff!
@DjDafader mute groups in Kong. Set both pads to the same "Mute Group" letter, and now when you hit one pad, then hit the other, it will cancel out the first. In other words, both pads will stop the other one from playing when you hit them. Opposite of "Link" groups which link the two pads together so that when you play one, the other one is triggered along with it. Capiche?
@Phisequence tjnx a bunch man... i used to work with cubase, and it has similar way of doing this, but i couldnt find out in reason 5.0 im a reason noob, THNX A MILLION!
@xMASSxDx187x Easy: Add a NN-Nano sampler to the drum slot. Then add a sample to the first hit type (Snare #1 in your case). Now see the little button called "Add Layer" just above the sample window in the NN-Nano? Click that. Then you can add a new sample in (snare #2). Now play your pad. Notice both snares play at the same time. Done.
If you don't like that way, you can put two snares in different slots and use the "Pad Groups" to "Link" the two pads together.
how do i get my samples to cut off as soon as i hit another one?

@DjDafader No problem. There's usually a way to do most things in Reason 5. Usually. ;-)
