Nothing wrong with a good bolt-on. Ever thought of all the brands and models that do have a bolt-on? I own both, bolt-on and set neks, and I like em both. My bolt-on les pauls '76 and '78 sound and play better than most recent set neck Gibsons. they even sound better when I think of the price I paid for it ;-)

@06mgibson if you had ever played one of these you would be surprised.

@JimmyPage968 not exactly - Ibanez were primarily aiming at the US and European markets. They had the guitars made by FujiGen Gakki. Ibanez left the Japanese market to another company (Kanda Shokai? I forget), which marketed virtually the same guitars made by Fuji Gen Gakki under the Greco name.
That;s why Gibson commenced a lawsuit against Ibanez (who changed their headstock design to comply) whereas Greco and all the other Japanese builders still make Gibson-style headstocks to this day.

@Sufferd666 Absolutely right. There is a ridiculous snobbery about bolt-on neck les paul type guitars. The advantage of bolt-necks is that as the guitar get older, you can easily maintain the neck joint. You can drastically improve any bolt-on neck guitar by cleaning and sanding the contact surfaces for maximum contact (and therefore resonance transfer) between body and neck.
For example, Godin have only just started making a set-neck guitar.

Yeah "fuck Ibanez get a Gibson"...You probably don't have to think alot before saying something THAT stupid, really! I mean why get a fantastic guitar and save LOTS of money when you can spend sh*t loads of money for a Gibson?

@Martinezlopez113 A guitar is a guitar. Get over yourself.

Ibanez guitars are a disgrace to guitars!! Get a real Gibson!

@0pethMetal Yeah, you don't want to leave it like that for months. This one was sold. Thanks for checking it out, they are excellent guitars.
