A bogus website pretends to be a Macintosh application discovering viruses on the computer. The site automatically downloads a file 'anti-malware.zip' and if your browser is set to open 'safe' files it will uncompress the trojan horse malware.
The halos in the video around the mouse cursor are from the screen capture application showing mouse-clicks. The Sophos window that pops-open is an anti-virus app warning about the malware. The pop-up window that says 'Apple security alert' is a fake window and part of the malware website.
Those Anti Virus Applications, are bad for your Mac. and sometmes they will slow down your work flow, but let's just say if you did have a Virus on your Mac, TimeMachine would take care of the file thats infected. and as far as Malware & Spyware, thats why apple always come out with new updates, and if you have the protection plan with your Mac, if anything was to cause problems on your Mac. Apple care will be by your side, just take it into any apple store.
