For your information, Scott Walker is the GOVERNOR of the STATE--not the Mayor of Milwaukee!
If the city government of Milwaukee is "drunk with power" as you say, then your complaint is against TOM BARRETT, the Mayor---a DEMOCRAT. Or the Common Counsel---mostly DEMOCRATS. Or the County Executive, CHRIS ABELE---a DEMOCRAT.

There are SEVERAL occupations with "the same level of education as teachers" which have lower pay and benefits. For example, certain levels of medical techs and computer techs have an extreme, continuous learning curve with lower compensation.
But that's IMMATERIAL, because the free market is what determines the financial value of skills. Artificially imposing that value through COERCION and CORRUPT POLITICS is wrong and destructive.
