The Importance of Onions in Bodybuilding Nutrition.

By Lee Milligan Jr Thoughout mans history, many secrets and folklore of the Onion have been passed from generation to generation concerning its nutritional truth. The ancient Romans believed that Onions produced strength and confidence before going into battle. The ancient Egyptians believed that Onions produced an aphrodisiac effect that stirred up passion within a man which is why their Priests were forbidden to stay away from them. The question now is why were these ancient Egyptian Priests told to stay away from Onions ? The modern statements made concerning Onions is that they help to lower Cholesterol. That is interesting. I believe there's a component in Onions besides Zinc that help to contribute towards the conversion of Cholesterol in the blood into Testosterone. Onions should be eaten raw as cooking them can potentially damage the components within them. Onions can contribute greatly towards your strength and Bodybuilding goals.
