Good one! I always have to pause and breathe deeply, when chrizztians bring up the "moral compass".

Yes, perhaps the strongest example of this is when the Egyptians were buried with their wealth, so they could use it in the "next life".
The concept of heaven on earth is certainly something to work towards.

Not to mention that the $20 Million the Mormon Church put toward banning gay marriage could have been used for more "Godly" things, like helping the poor, feeding the needy, etc...

Brad Pitt is more then just a pretty face, He's a rights activist and humanitarian. Too bad more people are not like him.
It's funny how a Non-religous person is more likely to give to charity and help the needy, then a religious fundamentalist. Such Hypocrisy.

Exactly, and the hypocrisy is never more evident than in the Churches promotion of sharing and giving, as well as chastity and "family values", whilst at the same time hording billions upon billions of dollars and covering up the crimes of priests who rape little children.
Now THAT'S hypocrisy!

thanks, yea such selfless giving without the belief in some eternal, personal reward for doing so makes it all the more virtuous.
