My 3 live outside. I live in Australia, and winter today is 53 F (12 C) and at nite 41F (5C).
My birds (in 2 cages) are ok... BUT I have got a ceramic heat lamp (reptile) positioned between the 2 cages, and plugged into a timer so it comes on at 6pm and off at 6 am. I have a very thick old blanket on top of the cages metal roof, then covered by plastic. to trap the heat. keeps out rain. try pet store or buy online. (heat only not bright light). u also need a special lamp cord (ceramic fitting)

I think that's the cockatiel version of "I've Got a Crush on You"! :)

Fred is trying so hard to win Mikah over.

I realized that my cockatiel's cage seems a little too small (I mean, its only just enough to take a really small flight..) she's the only one there, but I can't play with her for beyond a hour to hour and half..is it possible to change the cages?

@Flyingcockatiel00 Nope, the grey one whistling finally mated and the yellow one, Michah layed 4 or 5 eggs. This was a couple of years ago. The eggs were 'duds', but they remained 'lover's'

They can, as long as it's not too cold. They are originally from Austrailia.
