  • I have an 8inch Christmas cake that I want to ice just the top of, how much ready to roll icing and marzipan do I need?

  • Makes it look easy but it isnt to people who dont make cakes like that often. I spent a good hour last week doing all of the above, plus the cake itself, then when I went to trim the icing I trimmed it too high which left gaps at the bottom and looked pathetic. Not that easy at all.

  • American people can be so silly and stupid its icing in england and fondant in fucking america! anything you put on top of a cake to ice it in england we call it icing something, for example icing sugar is powdered sugar, fondant is ready to roll icing dr.oekter or something does a good one, frosting is utter cream icing godsake thicko's!!!
