The Bratz dolls do not send the correct message....our kids are subjected to so many external subliminal messages..why have it at home??
-
People just judge the dolls by just looking at bratz but if they watch the movies and clips they would see that there better then you thouht and they teach kids to express your self and be your self. Their not teaching them to be rude or sexy so the black mum needs to do some reserch cuz she is all wrong

Who's barbie was not a slut anyway??... I played with barbie as a kid and she was always getting fucked by ken, she even stole sindys man paul!!

@DonteatLucky thats exactly what i was thinking i mean they did oversexualized the real doll outfits and also shouldve recognized that a bratz doll would not wear boas. and last but not least who dosent go to the beach and wear bikinis and hang out with guys and girls by pools and have somethin to drink .ps he should know that those drinks are smoothies and that the dols do what the kidss want them to do if the kids dont want them to go to school thats there choice
-
an I think that Dr. Phil oversexualized the real life bratz outfits. Bratz do no always have boas, and they had no bra straps hanging out. I dont agree with Dr phil, because I believe he forces his veiws on people. This is just another example.

Um I played with bratz as a kid, and I hate clothes that are trashy and too seexy.( I love the way T. swift dresses ;) I don c y its such a big deal :/
-
Ever since barbie came i hated them the people that r judging bratz just because the way look they should judge barbie instead of bratz because barbie r bader then barbies
Well... Bratz dolls are discontinued. I hope everyone is happy now? :| Bratz and Barbie -are- the same thing. People are being awfully hypocritical when favoring Barbie over Bratz. Fortunately, the Bratz doll molds have been reused by MGA for the Moxiegirlz. I believe they are the better option compared to Barbie.
Go MGA!!! ;)

@beekill82 Bratz and Barbie are different. Firstly Barbie used to be classy and represent what every goal-oriented modelled citizen should be like. For instance, usual doll fashions included occupations, babys and families, fantasy. However, in recent years Barbie has began sexualising their dolls (I am not in any way saying that barbie have not always - to a certain extent - done this) but they were never big on massive makeup or skimpy fashion. Bratz introduced over-the-top makeup and fashion

@bbrofl When I was little (90s) I associated Barbie with whores (TOO much cheap fluorescent pink dresses!!!).Hence I never cared for her 'inner person' or values. I do not understand the issue with Bratz dolls though. Most Bratz wear 'real' fashion. The same goes for [early] My Scene dolls. Bratz are not as over the top as people like to think. Bratz wear make up, skinny jeans, tops, jewellery and high heels. So does the majority of European girls and women.

@beekill82 By this logic, the majority of women, dress like whores, sluts and so on. Yes, I know women who decide not to wear make up. They are the few and the bold. Yes, I know some women who disapprove of showing skin, hate designer clothes, and so on. They too are a minority these days. This is an issue of morality, and A LOT of women are giving mixed signals: "mommy can have a boob job, pink lipstick and a mini-skirt, but no, you cannot play with Bratz because they are BAD for you!" :S

@beekill82 So what I am basically saying is that people should make up their minds. You cannot block and scrutinize all influences. The question remains whether a cartoony doll like Bratz objectifies and sexualizes girls and women. Besides, there will always be other "Bratz-like things" in this world. Is your child heading in the wrong direction if she plays with Bratz? Should you interfere and label them 'bad'? On what grounds? Is that the perfect message, I wonder? (Just philosophizing a bit.)
