Those comments attacking this man's communication are stupid and cruel.
FC is a important tool. No-one doubts that the FC method can be abused and has been in very few cases. But attacking the method itself or all FC users is as stupid as banning cars.

Some reporters did an experiment to see if this was a scam. They told the "paitent" a story with the facilitator out of the room. Then brought the facilitator into the room and asked the paitent to repeat the story back. Could not do it because the facilitator did not know the story. The vid is on the web. This is a huge scam.

I’d like know more before I draw any conclusions from this. Did this person ever need to have his arms supported? What was his earlier functioning level? Is he really writing anything meaningful?

It's fairly easy to tell which speakers are being unwittingly manipulated by the facilitator--in this video, the speaker is fully independent. Studies have proven that facilitator influence is not conscious, but is pervasive. I had high hopes for this technique, but wasn't surprised with the negative conclusions of scientific verification. We do deserve message veracity as a matter of human rights. No words should be put in anybody's mouth.
