  • @101Allahuakbar We do not see the evil of sin as God does. Our intellect is not that hot! Moreover our Will is prone to evil. This is everyday experience for all of us. Hence one Catholic Theologian(Father Barron on You Tube) concludes, "We have a reasonable hope that no one is in Hell." I agree. A young 20 year old devout Muslim & I discussed religion recently. I was impressed by his notion of prayer as the way to be close to God. He liked Father Barron's idea about Hell. Thanks

  • @101Allahuakbar John 8: "Jesus finally said to her, 'Woman, where did they all disappear to? Has no one condemned you?' 'No one, sir,' she answered. Jesus said, 'Nor do I condemn you. But from now on, avoid this sin.' " Jesus, understood well our human weakness, caused by passions(greed, hate, lust). He knew our Free Will was terribly influenced by the passions, & so not fully free. To sin mortally we must have "Full Consent" + "Full Knowledge". Most probably no one has either!

  • @101Allahuakbar In Chapter 8 of John's Gospel, is the incident of the woman "caught in adultery". She was brought to Jesus by the Jewish authorities(Scribes & Pharisees) who asked, "In the Law, Moses ordered such women to be stoned. What do you have to say about the case." Jesus then writes on the ground. Finally he replies by saying, "Let the man among you who has no sin be the first to cast a stone at her." Then they drifted away one by one, beginning with the elders." (Con't)

  • @watchful38 isnt it one of the ten commandments "Thou shalt not commit adultery"

  • @101Allahuakbar But what happened to me this morning was that I saw the Beauty of Islam as described by this young Muslim man. We have all seen a lot about the evil of Islam and its errors. All this may be true, but it is just one side of the coin. To bring us closer is our common humanity. "God does not destroy human nature but perfects it." So anything contrary to human development cannot be from God. Sharia seems much too harsh in many ways, e.g. death for adulterty. Thanks.

  • @101Allahuakbar Christ in John's Gospel: "I no longer call you servants, but friends for I have told you all that I heard from my Father."John 15. Also Jesus said, "No one knows the Father except the Son." & "Anyone who loves me will be true to my word, and my Father will love him; and we will come to him and make our dwelling place with him." (John 14). My friend said we are God's servants! True, but also, ":We are made to know & love God on earth & be happy with Him in Heaven."

  • @101Allahuakbar Because man is dragged down by his ignorance of the enormity of his sin, and because his passions, hate, lust, greed, man's Free Will is less than fully in command, He liked my the conclusion that:"We can reasonably hope that there is no one in Hell." We discussed our differing views as to monotheism. We believe in One God, but we have gained an intimate knowledge of God when Christ revealed the innermost ,

nature of God, 3 persons equally sharing the 1 Godhead.

  • @101Allahuakbar I had a lengthy conversation with a practicing Muslim this A. M. after breakfast. Originally his family is from Pakistan via India. The young man is really a "take it easy" guy. I told him he would be great at a party!!! He agreed although he doesn't drink. I was impressed by his concept of prayer & its necessity to be close to God. He's only 20 but looks forward to the Hajj. It is a "spiritual renewal" for him. We talked of man's ignorance & weakness! (Con't)
