Connect two Macs wirelessly with an ad-hoc network. Follow this video to set up and connect the peer-to-peer network, and when you're done, see how to disconnect the network. The beauty of ad-hoc networking is that it's temporary.
Failed to work for me! Select which channel number for a start? Yes, got a network to exist (and it turned off my internet - great!) but there was no Shared on the other computer.
Perhaps the problem is I have been using a Mc for more than 20 years... I pity you dummies!
When i try to create a ad hoc network i get the following error " there was an error creating your computer - to - computer network " ... I am using the latest 21inch iMac with snow leopard 10.6.2. Plz help !!
that is even easier then i thought .

Wait... So if I do this... Will I be able to let's say take a MacBook to school and come home and sync it with my iMac?
