HELP

I have the firebox and I usually only can record drums with the 2 preamped mic inputs on the front.

But if I get a XLR female to TRS 1/4 balanced chord Can I use the 2 balanced line inputs on the back to plug in 2 more additional dynamic mics to record?

You can use the inputs on the back, but those are line level. If you're just trying to use a dynamic mic or condenser mic, it won't work. Unless you're using it with an external pre or compressor, you're not going to be able to get adequate signal in those channels by just plugging a mic in. However, you can use the outs from a drum machine or keyboard in there.

U mad? Presonus is a highly recommended company. I have a Firebox and it's been working great for two years. Maybe you just got a dud. Try customer service.

I am trying to get information on high definition (quality) YouTube guitar and voice type recordings. I have NO audio interface, mixer, daw software, etc. I DO have 2 microphones, 1 condenser instrument type (needs phantom power) and 1 dynamic voice type mic. My amp and my LP guitar. That's it. Could you tell me what equipment I would need to get the sounds into my Windows 7 Pro, 64Bit PC. Not sure software , drivers either. I just want to get a quality audio/video onto YouTube & the web or dvd.

I'm new to this firebox. The sync indicator is red and how do you make it work with my windows xp?

Also, How do I find the right sample rate?

When I try to switch to save Presonus driver selection, I get this message, 'No sound device is found'. how do I fix the problem?

ok heres my prob:my firebox worked fine for 2 years+,then i got my pc upgraded (added ram) and i noticed that at first firebox wouldnt sync with my pc (red light) after reinstalling the driver the led went blue but when i started updating firmware,the window halted so i had to turn it off from the task manager,even after a reboot the blue led on firebox never changed and it appears that firebox isnt recognized by my pc nor do i hear my mic right after the reboot.please help me with this one

What is the difference between Firebox and FireStudio mobile ?

Basically I am looking for something that will record a Guitar with good quality, and something that will sort out Latency problem with my MPK 25 MIDI keyboard.

I am about ready to smash mine. Works perfectly on my desktop but will not work on my laptop. Worked occasionaly with vista but real glitchy. With Win 7 it was ok for about a month. Now it just will not work no matter what. I have uninstalled several times tried old drivers, tried auto updating and then got new drivers from website to do manual update. Blue light comes on to say its connected computer sees unit but control panel says "no device". Need a reliable device for work. This aint it. :(

@spizec Coo w/e works for ya - My firebox is fantastic and I got no probs once i finally figured out HOW to get the settings in my computer correct thx to a phone call to presonus - BUT In the end its about makin music NOT THE equip ur usin to do it
