masterpiece, I love Vierne music. But it is sad to play Vierne on an organ built by the man who "stole" his wife.. :-(

Wonderful! I have this video and enjoy Mr. Philippe Delacour's playing immensely. Appreciation of performance on a great and mighty pipe organ such as this is in the ear, not the eye, of the beholder.

@MrBrysonD: the fact that he *looks* bored has no meaning. Music is something you *listen* to.

As for being "too flawless": sorry but I don't see how playing wrong notes, in themselves, is supposed to make a performance less dull. If it were, people would play wrong notes deliberately, which of course they don't, usually. (Besides, Delacour's playing is not always as precise as you seem to imply.)

A little too fast certainly, though I doubt very much I could do better myself. A wonderful organ, but how did Vierne feel about Mutin's relationship with Mlle. Richepin? Its difficult to believe there wasn't some sadness there?

Too fast. I think this piece must be played more slow in order to give the possibility to perceive the armonies in this piece.
