Neena Patel recommends a pen that scans words and phrases from different subjects and translates them into speech in up to 15 languages.
Teachers from schools around the country comment on these resources and share their ideas on some of their favourite resources including ones you can create yourself.
I have been evaluating this MPR (Multi-media Print Reader) technology in language learning. I would caution that there is some difference in products and names - many "Pen recorders only record and play back audio. The MPR technology is what reads the special micro printed characters and plays the audio.
This is perfect for phonics, talking dictionaries and word drills. I am not recommending the recording feature as I see it as limited use for our needs.
In all, I find these MPR pens exciting.
