Softball Bat Fail

**Here's something for all of the negative comments** Demarini replaced the bat for me. Their R & D team tested the bat and found it to be defective. So it was the bat, despite what some people are posting as comments. I am keeping this video up as a favor to one of my college professors for her Customer Service class, as making this video and showing it to Demarini was what got them to test the bat and make an exception to their policy of not exchanging warrantied bats.

I had to cash in on the warranty of my DeMarini White Steel softball bat almost 2 months after the date of purchase, which was over $170.

After paying over $20 to ship the original bat, Demarini sends me a new bat that looks similar to my bat but it's not the same at all. Watch the video and listen to the differences between the two bats.

I will be emailing DeMarini next week, as this is totally unacceptable.

Um, it's not the bat. I have the same bat and my teammate hits 300 + ft bombs with it on a consistent basis. I will say the bat is pretty endloaded so if you're used to swinging more balanced bats, you're not going to swing well with it. If you ask any hardcore baller what they think of the maroon white steel, it's one of the best singlewall bats on the market.

so.........you're complaining about the sound? Its a singlewall bat, the difference between the first one you had and this one is that Demarini took the foam core out of the 2010 version ( the maroon one). This made it better as far as performance but not in durability, also that sound. Yeah it stinks but is that really a reason to complain to the manufacturer?

@snacks2181 In my opinion, it is not better. I could not get a solid hit with it and it vibrated a lot. I'm upset that the 1st bat lasted less than two months and then they send me this one that is not the same type of bat and I can't get anything solid. I hit 4 home runs with the first bat, including one in the second at bat with it. This one barely clears the infield.

@DaredevilProd you got the newer white steel when you sent it back. i dont know why youre complaining about it. its the same type of bat. youre not that smart. you must suck pretty bad if you cant get hits with the new white steel. idiot

@jmoreau323 it's not the same bat at all. It may carry the same name, but from what I've heard, DeMarini removed a layer of foam from the bat.

I took this bat to a softball tournament and a few players used it. They all agreed with me that it did not feel right at all.

I used an OG (white in color) white steel, I hit em out all the time, even on the 300' diamond. fing one of them used and get it, not sure about the new one, but it sounded like an aluminum bat should to me.

Do a youtube search on "Anthony Kelly White Steel", click the first video link, and tell me how horrible the White Steel did for him.

that is a sick demarini bat!! im 15 and have played softball for 7 years. ever since squirt (first year rep) i have used demarini bats

the same thing happened to my bat the replaced it with a better model of my bat!!!! it was a $400 bat and when i hit the ball the bat busted and the barrel of the bat went flying at the pitcher

the OG white steel is a mush ball killer... i use it in my fall league, that new red one i believe is just aluminim and doesnt come composite like the white ones.... the black one is pretty good also... try to get a flat spot on it and see if it helps you out

It's a steel bat, Demarini is the first to make one, its supposed to sound that way. Good bat too, team uses one and it hits good for not being composite.
