The technique
The Six Thinking Hats technique of Edward de Bono is a model that can be used for exploring different perspectives towards a complex situation or challenge. Seeing things in various ways is often a good idea in strategy formation or complex decision-making processes.
It provides a means for groups to think together more effectively, and a means to plan thinking processes in a detailed and cohesive way.

@iseekeyboard Thanks for introducing me to David Hume. About "is-ought" - While "selling" the value of the processes he's invented, in the 1980s here - these are de Bono's answers to how "ought" could be real. Hume points out how making descriptive statements to prescriptive is a non-obvious illogical jump. De Bono has spent his life outlining many alternate ways about how to get beyond the limitations of habitual thinking. - Check him out on wikipedia - he's not "under-educated" either.

This guy is SERIOUSLY setting up some STRAW MEN (The GANG of three???)... He seems to be unaware (2:37) of the 'is-ought' problem (David Hume). He is the typical ignorant psychologist trying to philosophize.
