Trailer for Nobody Knows by Kore-Eda Hirozaku. Four siblings live happily with their mother in a small apartment in Tokyo. In fact, the children all have different fathers and have never been to school. The very existence of three of them has been hidden from the landlord. One day, the mother leaves behind a little money and a note, charging her oldest boy to look after the others. And so begins the childrens odyssey, a journey nobody knows.

  • I really don't know how a filmmaker like Kore-Eda can continue to make another film after this one. With Nobody Knows he has achieved the pinnacle of emotional expression available to the medium of cinema. I've never cried so much in my life than during the end credits and on my journey home from the movie theatre after watching this film.

  • An incredible film

  • @videochemist THANKS MAN u r a saviour

  • @XXHUNK20XX The fact you've had such a strong emotional reaction just mean you're going to grow up to be a compassionate person. Try to find comfort in that you have the power to make the world a better place, even if it just means spreading happiness to those closest to you.

  • @videochemist it wasn't and it makes me think why why did this happen i cry myself to sleep about this and that song i translated it it has very sad lyrics

  • @XXHUNK20XX When I read the real life story I had the urge to console Akira and tell him it wasn’t his fault. He was around your age at the time those events took place, and it makes me sad to think he has probably grown up tormented by guilt (the media in Japan were very cruel to him). The only ones who deserve any blame are the selfish adults who could have prevented this tragedy. If you enjoy this sort of film, you should watch After Life (also by Kore-Eda) and Departures (by Yojiro Takita).

  • @videochemist HI i am 13 years old and part japanese and this movie mad me cry alot and my mum and dad said that u shouldn't worry but what made me cry more is that the movie tells u at the start it has been fictionalized because akira in the real story killed yuki by accident and those friends of his were there it makes me cry each time i sea plane fly by i stop to think how love and pain are two things that make us and he regreted killing her
