The Sno-Bus is a shuttle bus that runs along the 7.8 km (4.8 mile) length of the Rideau Canal Skateway in Ottawa during Winterlude, a great winter festival that runs over the first three weekends of February each year.
This video was taken from the window of the bus and sped up double-speed, but you can see most of the skating surface, including rest areas where you can buy BeaverTails (hot pastry treats) and hot chocolate, all sorts of people skating, and even an art exhibit underneath the Bank Street Bridge.
You can even see some of the maintenance vehicles brushing snow off the surface of the ice.
Ottawa runs until February 21, 2010 and will return next year from February 4-20, 2011.
