A camera pullout from Darkmount, the Decepticons' base of operations in Transformers: Redemption, showing a view over the city state of Polyhex.
Modelled, textured, lit, animated & rendered in Lightwave, composited in Fusion.

  • Looking good. Will you be adding slightly more texture or lights in the buildings?

  • @WolfKang1 Yes; it's a work-in-progress to see how quickly everything rendered. There's somewhere in the region of 200 buildings in that shot. I plan on adding lighting to various structures to bring out details & such. Once I can work out how, I might add flyovers and the like as well.

It's a trade-off between how much I would LIKE to put in, & how much I can put in and still render everything. Since I composite everything in Fusion anyway, perhaps I can break the shot out into more passes.. ;)

  • you have made TREMENDOUS progress! SO much better, higher quality, and smoother animation than before the big computer crash of 2005 (or whenever it was). INCREDIBLE job! i wished i could help get your stuff more exposure. any way you are getting back to redemption? or maybe we could start a new story with your current animations?

  • good to see the project is still in motion

  • looking good can't wait to see what comes next

  • Sweet video :) Decepticon!!!
