that video is great, but in my opinion a rougher substrate is better and more natural for the snakes. when i buy me an animal, i think about what is the best for it and not what is easier for me. some snakes like to dig and hide in the substrate, which isn't possible with newspapers as substrate. my ball python likes digging and cleaning is easy, too, it just takes a few more minutes.

i use newspaper as substrate cause its cheap and easy to clean but i put some lava in to aid shedding

its funny wathving your, i watch mine shed all the time, but your seems so gracefull about ti, mine are fast and just rub there head everywhere and have it off withing 2 mins

Oh..I see. I use reptile carpet for all of my larger constrictors, because it is at least somewhat abrasive and helpful with shedding, but I am sure that newspaper is easy to change..I just never got into newspaper for any of my snakes. I just hose down the Repti-Carpet and It is ready to be used again and again.

I keep perfect sheds to teach with. The rest I just throw away.

Heheh Thank you for your kind words. I had little choice in lighting though. It was really late at night and dark, so I just shot with the light in the cage hehe.
