The Muromachi period is a division of Japanese history running from approximately 1336 to 1573.
This oyoroi belongs to the earlier period. Probably, to the 1330's - 1350's.

  • armour parts in his body, arms, legs and head was made by putting many layers of leather in one piece, made it strong and very agille, some theories are that kind of armor was woren only at ceremonial duties (there was a lot ceremonials in samurai regime) and the actual battle armor was less decorative in colors and cloth.more in period before15-16. century.

  • Bujinkan is a traditional material from Japan that the Samurai & Ninja training in Japan under 1000 years. Bujinkan have 9 different warrior schools. 6 of them is Samurai schools. 3 of them is ninja schools. The Samurai and Ninja beleaved on (Zen)Buddhism like me.

  • No wonder only noblemen wore this armor! They needed at least two other people to help put it on! XD
