Mini Moke Californian Restored

My brother and I did up this old Mini Moke, it had Californian compliance plates on it so I guess its a Californian body, not sure about the engine and brakes, but we did it up with what it had in it anyway. I sold it not long ago. So here it is, just thought I'd share the video. Tappets sound like they need adjusting but the motor wasn't warmed up yet, but it gets quieter . The engine was bored to 1140cc, everything was new on it such as brakes pistons/engine, shocks, exhaust, canopy, paint, etc etc. Cheers Tonus

Nice Moke, Good to see someone looking after my beloved Mini's Foriegn relatives so well.

Like you say, Tappets set and a carb tune that would sound sweet.

Buy another, give it a good drive ... Minis are addictive!!

Thanks mate, had a few over the years, once had 12 mokes and 2 clubmans in the shed but have sold them all except one clubman which is half done up at the moment. Might finish it one day.

I saw one of these today in Vincent Square SW1. London.

It looked much smaller than I remember them in sunny New South Wales.

I was going to buy a new one in 1975 but it didn't come in automatic transmission; got a Honda Civic auto instead.
