@absintheyr I'm not saying that being in the military is a bad thing; rather it makes you appreciate the things that, uh, we civilians take for granted. So many here in the US think that peace and freedom are something that just falls out of the sky, that there is no price for wanting to be lazy and not contribute. But it's also nice to see that soldiers are still able to enjoy the little things. So yeah, that's all I was saying.

I used to get my hair cut at the barbershop behind the Jordanian operated store that was licensed by AAFES. There was an MCX/AAFES operated by Marines and FNs, and a retail area right around the corner. As a DOD civilian, I had to fly between Camp Fallujah, Camp Ramadi, Al-Asad and TQ. Camp Fallujah was considered home.
