http://www.kadampafestivals.org These statues were made at Manjushri Kadampa Meditation Centre in England by Kadampa artists under the direction of Geshe Kelsang Gyatso. They were unveiled on the empowering shrine before Geshe Kelsang granted the empowerment of Dorje Shugden at the New Kadampa Tradition Summer Festival in 2009. More than 5,000 people attended the festival.

Dorje Shugden looks very peaceful in these images. Very suitable to the peace temple, i guess. i like all the colours - so bright and cheerful. I remember someone saying that they make the statues in house. Very talented if they do!

having an image of an enlightened being represents the quality which that being embodies and it serves as a constant reminder of what we want to achieve in our spiritual endeavors.
Dorje Shugden statues are the same and his demeanor whether wrathful or peaceful carries the message of love and peace for all sentient beings because at the end of the day, he wants to see everyone at the end of Samsara's sea on Nirvana's shore:)

Indeed these statues can fit into any culture we can ever think of on this earth because it is not the origin that matters but the virtues and the merits they represent which helps us find a fulfillment in life.
Hence Lord Shugden in his 5 forms are specifically emanated to suit people of this time and era. we should all take refuge in him and come under his loving and compassionate care, now and forever.

Do you have other videos of this centre that you can upload? More pictures maybe? Any one knows where these statues were commissioned? Great work.

i really really love the peace temple at Manjushri Centre. I remember going there even before i heard about the whole DS issue... afterwards, when I heard about all the kerfuffle and how much pple hated the NKT, i was like "HUH?!?!?!" It baffled me that anyone cud hate them so much because to me, their centre n pple really reflect Dharma practice well - it is so beautiful how they have preserved the teachings and practices.

Dharmadolly - these are beautiful. if you're ever in the UK, go visit the centre in Ulverston. It's a bit far from London but it's worth the drive. Very cool. I hope there will be many temples of Dorje Shugden and his emanations in future!

by the way, JUST HOW BEAUTIFUL are these statues?! it's so nice that the statues incorporate a cultural aesthetic that reflects the place and time where the lineage and practice is being adopted and followed. This is what Dharma is about after all - how it can fit into and benefit our lives no matter where we are. thank you.

it is thanks to great lamas like Geshe Kelsang gyatso that these many ancient sacred practices are now available to people everywhere. he has 1500 centres around the world - imagine all the thousands of people who are now able to receive the blessings of Dharma, the incredible lineage of the Kadampas (which follow a long line of masters back to Atisha himself) and the great protector Dorje Shugden.
Lamas like Geshe-la make Dharma so relevant for our day and age
