You are so right. I hardly watch TV now. I only turn on to watch specific programmes. Now, it's the computer screen that is eating away my life. Gotta get a grip! It seems there are only two types of people in the world now. The doers and the watchers.
So, its Simon Cowell yet again winner of afternoon TV and even beating "Countdown". Do you know what! I think I would prefer a load of daytime TV to the other ones we have predicted. At least we could turn off. But- we won't!
Yes of course he will. And what sort of a network would he be running? Assuming he is deaf by now, singing acts are out, along with a lot of other acts that depend on the audience hearing. So, I would like to think (to take my mind of the horrific scenario we had envisaged earlier - ie beheadings etc.) the most civilised thing I can think of is the Gladiator Show. Which will be shown at 4.30 in the afternoon clashing with Countdown. Shame!
Is there such a thing as a nice cave? I hope so because I shall be joining you. Even a cold and wet cave would be preferable to living in a world like that. But people did live in worlds like that. As you said the Romans for a start. These are places you keep your head well down. But, do you think maybe Simon Cowell would still be running the most popular show? and what would it be?
how come the audio drops out so often?

Right. Its hard to get into "doer" mode when you've been in watcher mode for a while lol

Simon Cowell? Nah, he'll probably be running the network by then. Or gone deaf from millions of rubbish X Factor auditions.
