The ASCE Orange County Branch and their History and Heritage Committee dedicated another Historic Civil Engineering Landmark this time at Peters Canyon Regional Park on September 15, 2011. The landmark is the Irvine Ranch Irrigation System which was constructed by James Irvine II and designed by Roy Browning, PE. The branch was joined by Mark Denny, Manager of OC Parks, and were proud to have OC 3rd District Supervisor Bill Campbell speak as well.
