  • This IS NOT Taurian Matador. This is Billy Cobham's classic Crosswinds. It most definitely is Montreux Jazz Festiva; and I have not seenthis before so thank you for posting it.

  • Thank you for pointing out my mistake! I corrected the title.

  • It mentions Glenn as playing trombone. Also, Abercrombie used the guitar when I saw the band in the US. So, they use the same guitar or Holdsworth borrowed Abercrombie's.

  • @rawdonwaller no it's glenn ferris on trombone

  • I saw this band play the midnight show at the Acadamy of music with Hot Tuna!!

  • Notice that Abercrombie is playing Holdsworth's SG (at least, I assume it's Allan's and not John's). Soft Machine played this festival, and there are lots of vids of their set here on Youtube that show Holdsworth also using this guitar.

  • @charlyhrs crosswinds is FOLLOWED by TENTH PINN

  • Tom 'Bones' Malone on Trombone? If so, same horn section as on Cobham's 'Funky Thide of Sings' album, no?

  • @Asymmatrix John Abercrombie played guitar on the Crosswinds Album including the brecker brothers.

  • At 18 yrs old I stood 10 feet from Billys floor toms. Wtf

  • Ambercombie is smokin!!!!

  • @modir91 When I did see him during this period-he had a box of Promark 707 Ed Shaughnessy drumsticks opened on one end standing up beside him all unwrapped. He would snap one, reach down and grab another almost faster than the eye could see. At the end of the show-there were dead drum sticks all over the stage-think he went thru the whole box...
