making me reconsider my performance plans for my newly purchased '89 GTI... 16V . boosted with turbo kit, swap with turbo engine, vr6 swap... too many options!

any ideas guys?

how much did the entire swap cost and how long did it take? any bad things about swapping with VR6 engine?

im still inclined to turbocharge my 16 valves

You should bore out the 2.8L VR6 to a 3.1 - makes all the difference.
