This young man may have been a heckler ( although I doubt it because of the seriousness of his question) Menzies at least countered hecklers with his great wit and personality. In fact, they always came out 2nd best.
Apparently, Garnaut has neither wit nor personality; just plug-uglies on stand-by to chuck out audience members who might ask embarassing questions.

What has Australia become? A soviet police state. You can't ask a question anymore without the microphone being taken away from you or being thrown out by heavies. Ross Garnaut could say, "I won't even dignify that question with a reply." or "I'm afraid you're misinformed."
Wherever this venue had taken place, the organisers had and have no idea what a public forum is about. It shouldn't be a case of Garnaut preaching to the choir about
Climate Change.
