  • @neocoders The Vampire DH.99 was modified to a mixed wood and metal construction in light of Ministry of Aircraft Production recommendations, and the design was renumbered to DH.100 by November 1941.

  • My dad used to fix these in the RNZAF in the late 50's. Heard a few stories about these as a kid. I think he said that the variant he worked on actually had a wooden airframe!
