  • i had a icd pacemaker in june last year ....and still havent recovered properly the pain is like something u can never imagination ........im dreading the box change in some years time id rather them just rip it out .......

  • @reelncome I understand the pain. My right arm still has some problems. I cannot lean on that arm nor lay on it or pain shoots down the arm from where I have tyhe implant (i'm left-handed so it is on right side.) As I have said before it is not the surgery we need to focus on but the AFTER care. My cardio is taking good care, but as for the pain in my arm and other "pacemaker" discomfort, it is something I am told to LIVE with. I don't agree and will be fighting to change that.

  • Hi, hope that you are doing well now, may I get some of your personal experiences regarding a pacemaker?

Thanks and take good care, most greatful-distress parent

  • @msl3am I will be uploading an update video talking about life 2 years later with a two lead pacemaker. Please stay tuned! Thanks, Lorna

  • @AuthorLornaMSMOMS ..........bless ....itsso depressing ....even touching where the pm is makes me feel quite sick they gave me painkillers then a cream with chilli in it .....then they said to have physio which i am not prepared to do as if it inflics more pain i think i will attack some body .....saying it may seem funny but seriously over a year and still not painfree is no joke ......and they have said its something il have to live with also so i guess its just that as nothing else works

  • are u in a sling ? the first day i had mine i was druggged up for 3 weeks ha it sucks

  • I am having the surgery this week. Thanks for your words.

  • thanks for posting i get one soon and i am worried. all the vids of people saying the pain was unbearable! you don't make it sound so bad, so thank you once again.

  • Hi,

How are you now I had a pacemaker put in on the 22 october after I died 8 times it was rushed and I had no time to get used to it.

I am 35 and am /was a weight lifting bodybuilding fanatic and life from here now seems very dull.

As to pain I took no pain killers as I was so worried about lifting my arm in my sleep and pulling the wires out.

How do you feel about being so young for this to happen I also have kids (5) and was selfemployed.

    Drop me a line

  • Thanks!!! Go vicodin!!! 5*****
