  • @Audioventura oh boy, as i'm reading your comment, i really think i might need to make use of irony tags - even though this is destroying irony itself, thus rendering the statement superfluous.

also, you should really be able to distinguish between irony and seriousness in such simple occasions...

  • @hutersucks you do realize that written communication does lack the mimical and or prosodic context needed to actually interpret bits of speech as ironic!? Moreover there is nothing "clear" about irony in itself it is ambiguous by nature, that's the joke and precisely the reason why people usually make use of the irony tags. Nevertheless apology accepted, even though I do not find you explanation very resilient.

    Best

  • @Audioventura so you do know about irony - i almost did not think so. what i initially wanted to express was a mixture between respect for this creation and a bit of self-irony as austrian about this poem (which has nothing to do with "nationalistic pride"). further, i would like to deeply apologise for the lack of clarity in my statement which is apparently needed for some people to realise this.

  • @Audioventura ah sorry forgot something: irony: off

  • @hutersucks Chapeau! Great argument indeed!

  • @Audioventura this has nothing to do with "nationalistic pride". obviously, you haven't understood anything...

  • @hutersucks I find it cynical to use this poem as a piece of nationalistic pride. Clearly you haven't understood one of these literally "crippled" words!
