HAHA GRANT MORRONSON is not intelligent. FC hides its BS plot under layers of convoluted nonsense & Star Trek technobable.
-
FINAL CRISIS #7 & the series as a whole:
Badguys take over innocent peoples bodies.
GoodGuys become part of the bad guys when a silly helmet is slapped on them.
TIME is out of wack.
SUPERMAN figures all of this out on 1 page & then 2 PANNELS later basically pulls a SUPERFREINDS ending out of his ass...... "Darksied your plan was doomed to failure from the start- because when your on the side of justice- the Superfreinds will always win."
-
Actually you are supposed to read a painting. its supposed to tell a story & evoke emotion through visuals.
Now how do you know superman did all that? The artwork & sotry were not at all clear about that in issue#6.
If i need to read a tie in to understand it then FC is an incomplete story with massive gaps.
-
a mini series shouldnt do that. they should make sense, the whole way through.
-
there is just alota crossovers
-
But you're not supposed to read a painting!
Look, you wanna know what the Hell Superman is doing in that last scene. He's saving everybody's asses! He literally raises the battle ground with his heat vision & the speed he's travelling! He smashes into the Evil Factory to try and save Batman.

You know, I find that insulting! I haven't even watched the Matrix sequels, sir.
Darkseid IS and Anti-Life Justifies my Hate!
So Bruce Wayne isn't dead really. Doesn't that make Battle for the Cowl kinda pointless.Cause it's only a matter time before Bruce returns and becomes batman again.

I thought you were gonna wait until the series was over to do a review.
Also, to anyone who actually thinks this series is revolutionary and awesome, I have 2 comments to them: 1.) sure, i liked it when I read it the first time, during Morrison's JLA run, when it sort of made sense (...Sort of) and 2.) you remind me of the exact sort pf person who thought the Matrix sequels were actually good.
Anyway good review. BTW, this your little brother. Even though im almost 30. Ha, old man.

Ah yes, the 'Rock of Ages' storyline from the end of Morrison's JLA run. That one was tought to get through as well. Oh well, I do believe that this will be the last 'epic' Morrison does for one of the Big Two for a while. I wonder what's become of his MBX project for Virgin Comics?
Anyway...till next time: DARKSEID IS!
Later little bro',

Well, I have to STRONGLY disagree with mason. I like Final Crisis.
No disrespect to other readers here (maybe a little, tee-hee) but, I think that many of todays readers are lazy and try to let the art tell the story, not the writing.
Final Crisis DOES make sense. If you go back and actual take the time to read it and soak up the artwork along with it, you will understand. It also helps if you know a little about New Gods History and have read Grant's Seven Soldiers:Mister Miracle mini.

You are more than entitled to your opinion, JohnnyHorror, and if you're enjoying FC, more power to ya'. But I'm gonna have to side with those who don't like it. ;-) Even more so than Secret Invasion, FC makes you feel like you need to read a bunch of other stuff to get the whole story, which a mini-series really shouldn't do.
But you know what, I'm gonna take your advice and re-read the whole series from the beginning, and take my time. I'll let you know what I think.
Thanks!
