Hudson River Plane Crash Pilot: "Obvious to me...this was a critical situation." "Brace for impact."

Captain Sullenberger; The right man, in the right place, at the right time. We should all try to be just a little bit more like this man. He was one cool cookie when most of us would have been frea...

1:30 you can tell he's getting frustrated with her stupidity.

wow! i love this, katie is trying to make it into a big drama, but this is real, if one thing had went wrong, i mean look at that other plan, it smashed up and almost everyone died. he is just so strong and calm i'd love to be in a dangerous scary situation with him, i wouldn't be scared at all. i love the end part where he says they hadn't escaped yet he had a job to do!! amazing! we need more people like this.

This man is so amazing!!!! If this was possible i would have this incredible man fly me every where that i went!!!!!
He is such a star and he should be very proud of what he has done. He saved every1 on board the aircraft & landed a plane on the hudson river without injurying a sole. I love you Captian Sullenberger and God bless x x x

i think there is no way to train a human to act on situations like this (he said they were taught so), because it is still just a training. in real situations i guess kicks in instincts and reflexes, which meens it has to be in the blood. its just the way it is, some people fall in panic, some stay cool! :) thats why hes a pilot!

"i think there is no way to train a human to act on situations like this....."

And, you base your opinion on what?? Fighter pilots are trained to respond to situations, as opposed to reacting. Do a quick "YouTube" search on "NASA Apollo 13". (Not the movie script.

Listening to the astronauts, (with hearts beating at over 100 BPM!!), and the flight controllers. Compared to the movie scrip, they are so calm, they sound as if they were on Valium.

I think you also have to consider his actions after the plane splashed down. He walked the aisles, twice--while the plane was sinking, to make sure all his passengers were out of the plane. He also made all the right decisions at the right time--aviate, navigate, communicate!

capt. Sully does not see himself as a hero, but the fact is that because of his skill and experience, combined with the experience and courageous work of his flight crew, the steady composure of ATC, and the excellent work by the rescue crews and ferry pilots, 155 people lived.

Such an unassuming man who seems to enjoy relative obscurity, but it would be hard to find a better pilot, or a more decent human being!! We luv ya' Captain!!

Captain Sully is a hero, and his flight crew was every bit as courageous as he was. Getting the plane down safe was only part of the challenge. Keeping everyone safe, getting them from the plane to safety was the other part of hew equation that had to work as well.
I would like to see more focus upon the rescue crews, the air traffic controllers, and the ferry pilots who acted so courageously and expertly in carrying out their duties.
