Warhammer Online 40 Rune Priest Solo (#2)

Just using more of the stuff available to me on my Rune Priest to AE grind some mobs. This time with full (minus one) thorn potions up, concussive runes tactic and strife & torment.

Strife & Torment descrip says it heals 60 or something like that but it's modified by willpower & heals up to 280 (or somewhere around there). It becomes very powerful when wearing it in conjunction w/ a high toughness value against outdoor PVE stuff. Also not bad in PVP. Easy to unlock via tome:

Potions used: 5, 10, 20, 30, 35, 40t1, 40t2, and 40t3 (I forgot to put up the regular non-volatile lvl 40 thorn potion, which would have done 37 damage), so max stack is 9 thorn pots, not 8 like stated in first vid. +100 volatile toughness, intelligence and +880 volatile armor potion. Regular level 40 +80 willpower pot.

Also, the volatile thorn potion damage is effected by mob level & I believe toughness value (not 100% sure on that, but around 95%). It could be armor. Either way, it does a lot more damage to witch elves, witch hunters, etc., than it does to ironbreakers or black orcs. A volatile barbed potion will do ~100 a hit to most witch hunters or witch elves, but maybe only 5-10 points to a black orc or ironbreaker. Still better to use in place of the regular thorn potion if you're only going to use one in PVP (which I'd recommend haha).

One thing I am worried about with this game is popularity and activity.

Not because I'm shallow and want to play cos everyone else is, but because the last time I played WAR the lower level regions and scenarios were abandoned - which is very bad.

Is it still like that on many servers?

It's never really been like that on my server (volkmar) but I'm sure it's been pretty common on a lot, which is why it's consolidated into about 1/3rd or 1/4th of the servers as before. I think there are like 7 north american core, 2 open rvr, and 1 RP server now? They could really stand to drop down to about 4 core servers though honestly. If you do play again and start over from scratch, I'd recommend playing on Dark Crag, Volkmar, or Iron Rock. Those are the three most populated..

meh played most MMOs, i wud say Warhammer is best for PvP and Wow is best for PvE.....most of the other suck balls unless ur chinese ;)

Dst it takes atleast 100 days game time to get to renown rank 80 you will have plenty of game time on Warhammer in the long run

Wow is pretty colorfull wich i dont like its like a cartoon for me. And the chars are abit square. Muscles look more square and edgy then round and smooth. But gameplay wise wow is prob better atm because its got more content, if your playing for the long run that is.
