Originally recorded by Ben E. King in 1963,Little Milton's rendition of "I Who Have Nothing" gives the tune a gritty, funkier edge with just enough class and finesse to make it buttery to the ears.
Produced by Chess Records cronies Billy Davis and Gene Barge( yup,it's the horns!!) and arranged by Charles Stepney (arranger/producer for Rotary Connection among other projects).
Recorded most likely at Ter-Mar Studios in Chicago and issued as Checker 1203 in 1968.
