Good stuff. There's always been a friendly collaboration and competition between accordions and fiddles. Nice that the accordion holds its own. Quite authoritative playing! Elly certainly upholds the family's musical traditions beautifully. NB's loss = ON's gain.

That is terrific accordion playing. Here in NL, that style of playing would be considered French accordion like from the Port au Port Peninsula on the province's west coast. Bernard Felix plays a similar style. I'd be interested in knowing Elly's accordion background. Regards, sta66ord.

@sta66ord Thank you. Mom is from St. Charles NB and that where she learned how to play the accordion. She may be playing at the accordion festival in Moncton in July. She lives in Ontario. I forwarded her your comment about her playing. She grew up in a musical family, the Arseneault Family. She moved to Ontario when she was younger and that's where she lives now.
