they supply all the materials to make shells but no powders and stars, we want to make alot of homemade 8s but dont want to use compositions from leftover commercial shells, strictly homemade and I dont know where to get it.

8s as in m-80s? if so I will provide no further help, as what you are planning is very illegal and dangerous. It also gives all legitimate pyrotechnics a bad name and gives ammunition to those that wish to make fireworks illegal. Consider those things before proceeding.

no 8" shells, we are in a display company and have a type 33 license and other fire marshal permits.

Ah I see. That's right, China no longer can export 8"+ shells to the USA can they. In that case, I buy some chemicals such as sulfur from Skylighter, things like potassium nitrate off eBay, and I make my own charcoal. Paper hemispheres could be bought from Pyrodirect, they have fairly good prices on them. For canister shells consider making your own casings. nice shell! you make ball shells too? by the waydo you get all your stuff from pyrodirect, my brother makes shells and swears they are the best.

I have only made a handful of ball shells. I have some supplies from PyroDirect because I was sponsored by them for a short time. Other than what I received from them, I make my own shell casings.
