Zoetropes

This is an animation created by a University of Michigan School of Art and Design animation class for non-art majors. Animators drew 12 sequentially spaced images onto a strip of paper 29 and 1/2 inches long and 2 and 1/2 inches high. Divided into 12 evenly spaced boxes, the animated sequence is played from right to left. These animations are either metamorphoses or "squashes and stretches."
