Shares of Pfizer Inc. (PFE) are higher in morning trading as a U.S. district court upheld a patent on Pfizer Inc.'s heartburn drug Protonix, which paves the way for Pfizer and Nycomed, its partner, to seek damages from Teva Pharmaceutical Industries (TEVA) and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries, the Associated Press reports.
Pfizer shares are up 0.69%, or $0.10, to $14.66. Teva Pharmaceuticals shares were up $0.08, or 0.15%, to $54.41.
