465 Bench Squat and light back work

These two videos were not taken on the same day. I'm just compiling a little extra footage to show you guys what I've been up to for the past 3 months or so. Anyways, the 465 bench squat was a huge PR for me. I've only done these twice since my 425 video and that makes this a 40 pound PR without knee wraps. Even more impressive, it is 5 pounds higher than my best with knee wraps. This lift felt pretty easy, so I think I have a 480-500 in me within a few weeks. But probably won't be seen for a few more months because I rarely do these.

  • I suppose I'll go enter a meet whenever I'm financially looking good for it, Jared. I don't have any money to travel with right now and the area around here that's closest that hosts competitions is 2 hours away. And that wouldn't be a fun time with a car that's slowly falling apart. I would love to get it fixed though.

  • You know, I feel the need to train a little bit longer until I retry any type of a max squat without a bench or box. Although I am going to resume training next week without anything underneath me and I am going to see if I can't squat 365 for a few reps or so. It's exciting and I can't wait for it.

    I think you're mistaken, haven't made any videos yet but plan on it. Have only been lifting for about 3 years. Bench 275, squat 430, dead 455. Bodyweight at around 170lbs. My arm span/reach is like 80 inch maybe thats why my bench is so terrible lol. Maybe one day ill catch up to you :D

  • Well that's badass man. I guess you and I both have something on the other. You have your pulls and I've got my bench. But just for the tie-breaker, what are you squatting, man? Also, I found your video very inspirational. I wish I had videos of me from my first day 4 years ago. I really saw your changes as huge man. Keep up the heavy lifting.
