This short film features merchants, vendors, workers and patrons of Olvera Street who share a few reasons why they love vending, working and visiting this historic landmark in the heart of Los Angeles. The footage was captured for a group project in the Participatory Methods in Policy & Planning course at USC, and edited in the Visual Methods course. The goal of this project is to draw attention to the current controversy at Olvera Street, and highlight why the City should preserve the current small businesses, culture and history of the area.
