  • There has never been a better staging for this scene (and the hole "Walküre"). Every singer just "lives" his role, though there may have been better voices ... Patrice Chéreau with his realistic and still convincing view of the story.

  • Hunding's music-it's moments like that that make me so happy Wagner used 8 French Horns and a Steerhorn. It's such an amzing sound-the 'Ring' is full of amazing sounds.

  • 30 Jahre alt und in der Intensität noch immer unerreicht!

    Ganz großes Kino!

  • The only production I know where you feel that Wotan is REALLY pissed off and about to kick Brunny's ass...

  • *schluchz*

  • If there is any singer I don't want falling on top of me, it's Matti Salminen. Wonder how the director sold Hofmann on that blocking... :)

  • Wotan the wuss - what a father!

  • It does NOT get better than this! (Current Directors at Bayreuth kindly take note)

  • brilliant

  • *sniff*

    Thanks
